Elio D’Amico from Milan shows us the Italian men’s tailoring

Course of Italian men’s tailoring.

We have contacted a tailor shop in Milan, Sartoria di Milano Aquamarine, which comes to us on two occasions. A Master Tailor named Elio D’Amico will guide us through the light, thin Neapolitan jacket. He will together with Jonas Rizzotti who also works at the tailor’s. Jonas will be translated into English. Camilla Karlsson from Stockholm will also interpret from Italian to Swedish.

Mr D’Amico go through the intersection, underpinnings, details and feed. We are taught to sew the special shaft and ärmisättning characteristic of the tailor in Naples.

All participants are working with their own garments on the course, a complete classical lined Neapolitan 2-breasted jacket.

The course includes an introduction to the Italian menswear. What fabrics, lining and the work is used. The introduction also discusses the importance of smart matches.

The courses are held in Gothenburg in Tillskärarakademiens premises. There is room for 15 participants.

As a participant, you need to have knowledge of the classic men’s tailoring.

Saturday, 9.30 pm. 9:00 to 19:30.

Sunday, 1.10 pm. 9:00 – about 17th

Every day, with a break for lunch at noon.

Expect to work further on the garment between individual courses.

second occasion

16 March to 18 March 2018th

The same times as previous.

Now we continue and make ready jackets. If we want, we get an introduction to the pants here.

It will be a mastigt program, we have tried to include as much as possible in 6 days.

 

The cost is 4000 SEK / participant excluding VAT (5,000 including VAT) . For non-members 6,000 excluding VAT. (7500 SEK including Msgr.) The course fee will be split into two payments.

Material Package for a complete suit jacket 1100 SEK excluding VAT (1375 including VAT) . The package includes everything you need during the course.

The instructor attaches great importance that we have the right material.

Equipment list and more details will come later to all participants.
